Im not sure, it still seems like a lot of work that would be done. Instead of spending the time and money to do all of this, you could just learn to take a test shot and read a histogram. what is the difference?
this seems very pointless…….
Once you have profiled your camera and lens combinations and meter your exposures to be within dynamic range, it will be clear. Choosing to keep your highlights and shadows in range before you release the shutter instead of trying to adjust in post-processing saves time.
This was just what I needed to see to get me going on shooting the profile target.
