They microwaved parts of the microwave they blew up with dynamite in one of the previous seasons, and it caused the microwave being used to stop working. As for actually using a working microwave instead of a broken one, that would be a lot harder than it sounds. Most microwaves are similar in size, give or take a few inches, and can’t hold another one inside of it. The huge microwaves can be costly and very power-hungry, too.
