How Much is This Worth?

My cousin and I recently discovered a beanie baby in one of our old bins. It name is Bubbles and it is a yellow & black striped fish. The only thing is that the small tag says Rover. The tag is pretty old too because it says the style # next to the name. Does anyone have any idea what it is worth???

I was at a camp last year in February. There was a guy there who I thought was pretty cute…his eyes were adorable, and he was a farmers kid (i live in the middle of nowhere)
Anyway, I kept looking at him, because it’s something I do if I like someone. He was taking notice, and I was a little shy. I had to shadow him for a group activity, and we were in the gym. I stopped looking at him, and all of a sudden, he started throwing beanie babies at me (they were a part of the game we were playing.) I started asking “What the…?” when I saw it was him. He was smiling, and kept doing it. I tried to ignore him, but he persisted. I finally asked him why, and he said that I was fun to annoy. I started up a war with him, and he just laughed at me (i was only aiming at his shoes, not anything else.) He went back and told all his friends I was fun to annoy, he “learned that.”
Later that evening, he came from outside and I was standing near a fishtank. He walked up beside me, threw his arm around my shoulders and said “hey, best friend. we’re buddies, right?” I said “yeah…real pals.” a little sarcastically. He just looked at me funny, and said “why are you so cruel?”
The final day (it was a weekend retreat) his nametag fell off. He gave it to me saying “here. remember me by this. It sounded a little sarcastic, but I kept it. I gave him mine. I said”here…take this to remember me by.” He said “okay” Joe, his friend, asked him what he was going to do with it. He said he threw it out, but I don’t think he was serious
just before I was about to go, he approached me. He wanted to know what county I lived in. I said Cumberland. He turned to Hunter, his other buddy. Hunter said “That’s a little to far for your truck.”
At the time, I didn’t think this meant anything…does it? I also tried to facebook him, but he ignored me. Maybe because I didn’t have a facebook at the time, or he forgets me. Anyway, I see him again in February, and if you think he likes me, I really want to start it up again.

Are there any other remedies for Dyshidrosis?

I have Dyshidrosis which is very common to atopic eczema only that my skin on my hands will get fluid filled blisters and once they drain which takes about 2 weeks they leave cracks and fissures in my skin. It is very painful and it also leaves exposed new skin which can be “spongy”.

Creams, oral methods and steroids havent worked for me so I have been using Biotin vitamins. I would like to Omega3 Fatty acid pills next to see if that will work. Does anyone else with a skin condition have another remedy? Should I try Ultra Violet ray laser treatment? Nothing seems to be working…

Hello. My whole life i’ve had chronic health problems, but the list is getting longer and i’m quite convinced that it might all be one thing underlying it all. I’m genuinely very curious to see if anyone with any medical knowledge can come up with anything!!!
I have:
severe atopic eczema
asthma
very bad allergies (including birch)
allergic ryninitis
dry eyes
painful hips and knees
migrane on a regular basis
reactive depression
insomnia and constant exhaustion
unable to straighten little fingers
dyspraxia and discalcula
high instep with a flat foot
heavy painful periods with excessive clotting
general immuno deficiency (repeated continuous illness)

I am under a specialist for allergies, a dermatologist and an asthma clinic. I wear special inserts in my shoes and splints on my hands. I have had all the things diagnosed and i have medication for them.
I’m registered disabled they are all real problems.

I’m not asking for help i’m CURIOUS whether there could be something causing some of the other things thats all.

i am under an allergist i have many allergies, ive had lots of tests.
it is interesting about thyroid- i get reguarly checked for low thyroid as my mum has hashimotoes (can’t spell it!) disease, but they say its fine. i have all the same symptoms as her tho and it is hereditory. i don’t know.

the thing with me is ive had these issues since i was born (Literally- i was allergic to my mothers breast milk and it carried on from there) and i have been under so many specialists and people trying to help with one of the problems- but noone has ever sat down and talked to each other. so i always wonder if they can be linked. i’m still sure they are.

This is ruining my life………?

male, 25 years old and skinny (been skinny all my life though). No drink or smoke and i was diagnosed with atopic eczema since i was little. I’ve been stressing a lot lately.

For the past 4 months now (after a flu) i have some weird symptoms that are debilitating. Some are hard to explain. H. Pylori is the only thing doctors found after a series of blood tests, EKG, chest x rays, nuclear scans for the chest, and breathing tests. No asthma but the only doubtful thing was that i couldn’t fully expire all the air out. I’m seeing a respiratory specialist and he’s still trying to figure out what’s wrong with me. He suggested it could be anxiety, a muscular disorder or lack of fitness or some kind of post-viral fatigue AKA fibromyalgia. He says he can hear a “whoosh” sound at the back but no sign of heart or lung disorders. He ordered some CT scans on chest now and fitness test.

I spent the last 4-5 years sitting in front of the pc for long hours without taking needed breaks. Perhaps it’s bad posture?

Symptoms:
* a shortness of breath that feels like having a book on top of my abdomen all the time. Gets worse on minimal exertion.
* tightness along the left chest/rib wall ( gets worse when i lift up my left arm or try to walk straight, i have to bend forward)
* pressure. I don’t know where but it can happen in my head, stomach, back, left arm.
* Lightheaded. Sometimes i feel i’m going to black out or pass out.
* Weakness? Fatigue? sometimes i feel my whole body is going to paralyse. I’m doing something simple such as cooking and i start feeling weak and i have to sit down for 30-45 mins because i can’t stay up. This affects my speech, swallowing, breathing etc.
* i see my left rib cage kinda “swollen” all the time or is pushing outwards a bit
* struggle to focus
* struggle to relax, i feel tense most of the time
* sore eyes
* occasional headaches
* easy to forget things
* face feels hot all day, gets better at night.

Movement such as travelling in a car can trigger the first 4 symptoms. It’s not the usual nausea some people feel it’s much worse and scarier than that. Exercise makes me sick too so i have to stay home all day without doing much. Can’t go to college or work anymore.

Any suggestions? cos i’m lost. thanks and sorry for the long post.

Beanie Baby super rare mistake?

I bought about 30 beanie babies from an estate sale, and have been going through them to figure out what each one is worth. I found a lot of articles saying the factory defects are worth more and I have a couple with mispelled or misworded poems in there heart tags, and I saw articles on those but I have a Pelican Beanie with tush tag that says “Bucky” when I did a search for his worth it pulled up beavers… I looked at his heart tag and it says “Scoops” He is in good condition and there are no signs anyone has tampered with him, but I have searched all over and cannot find others like it. I want to put it on Ebay in a couple days, but wondered how much it might be worth or what I should try and get for it.

Has anyone heard of or seen this mistagged Beanie anywhere else???

My dermatologist told me it was atopic eczema and prescribed me this awful steroid ointment that doesn’t work at all and just feels like acid on my skin.

So I’ve tried everything under the sun to try to heal this,
Did I mention I’ve been struggling with this skin condition since March of this year?

Atopic Eczema
Itchy Eyes
Watery Eyes (it looks like she’s crying)
Sneezing
Coughing
It’s nothing serious but she also has hayfever in spring summer and badly in the fall and may be lactose intollerant and dust makes he sneeze and get watery and itchy eyes. What are some good medicines for her to take and she is only 11 so she can’t tae adult medicine for 1 more year. I was thinking about eye drops… would they have an effect? I am currently giving her Zyrtec kids and it holds her over for about 2-3 hours but can only take one every 24 hours. Clariten Kids did not work for her. She would be so heart broken and probably would never talk to me again if we got rid of this cat. What are some options?

Hi, Ive got 2 years old son. He suffered from bad atopic eczema…till about few month ago. For that reason (as advised by dermatologists) he was on a special diet…meaning we had to avoid food like: milk and all milk products, wheat, eggs, certain fruit, tomatoes…just to name few. Two weeks ago…after his second birthday he had allergy tests done, with good results, so he is not allergic to those few things he has been tested for…and now we were told we can start to introduce new food to him…but of course he doesnt want to try anything new…even though he sees us eat, he eats at the same table as we do, we even had a little cousin around to try if my son is going to copy him…he wouldnt even try very apealling looking birthday cake (train) – not I would be keen on the idea him eating sweets and chocolate…but just to try…he wont. Would would you suggest I could do.. he can’t eat 2 different kinds of meal over and over…He eats all kinds of soups though…which is great: well but with no noodles…hehe or pieces of veg {needs to be mixed}. I think that if he had not been on that diet (being restricted in what he could eat) up to now he would have developed more “curious tongue” . Thank you for all your comments.

has anyone tried aloe vera on babies skin before, for eczema treatment?

How do I keep my 22 mos. old from scratching eczema on her arms at night?

She’s really good at not scratching at it during the day as we’ve taught her not to, but when she’s asleep she can’t keep herself from scratching.

Furthermore why does she only develop the eczema on her inner elbows and knees and only during the winter?

Last winter I used a baby eczema cream by healthy naturals and it worked ok. This year though I don’t think it’s doing anything.

Any tips or advice is greatly appreciated!
We use Dreft baby laundry detergent to wash her clothes.

What works well on baby’s face eczema?

My 9 month old has eczema rashes on his cheeks and chin. I’ve been using hydrocortizone on it, which works ok, but I’m looking for something that’s extra moisturizing that I can apply as often as I need to instead of every 4 hours. Also, does this kind of eczema rash ever go away?

Baby Eczema, a real treatment…?

My daughter is now 9 months old. She’s had severe eczema since she was born. For many months we struggled with remedies that had little to no effect. It became worse and worse. Our G.P. had her try a steroid ointment, Hydro cortisone .1%. It also had little to no effect. After months of her suffering through our attempts, we took her to the Sick Kids Hospital of Toronto, Ontario. The Doctors there were amazing and within HOURS her eczema was cleared up and is still controlled to this day. What my doctor had tried was on the right road but not quite there…. what they prescribed was three short baths a day and two separate steroid ointments. Hydro cortisone at .1% for her face and Betamethisone at .05% for her body, all sealed in with a layer of Vaseline. What made the difference was the ointment versus the cream… it has to do with the water content.Now I know that many people are concerned with using the steroid ointments. I was informed that as long as there is a need for them within the system that it does not cause any problems. I only trust these doctors after speaking to MANY. So, parents, please take my experience and help your babies. I’ve done the field work, please reap the rewards. Now at 9 months old, she’s been on the regiment for 5 months her eczema is completely controlled and she is finally starting to grow out of it. She has only one bath a day and I only do her face when she needs it, every two days or so and her back and body once a week or whenever there’s irritation. I really wanted to share this info with other parents out there who are struggling with this. There were no unanswered questions I could post on though! As a side note, some doctors recommend anti-histamines at night to help with irritation and inflammation occurring over night…. tricky stuff, you don’t want the wee ones becoming used to the sedation as a means to fall asleep.

I hope this information finds its way to those who need it.
A few other points
-my GP thought it was food related, found out this is not possible. KEEP THEM ON THE BREAST.
-cologne and perfume are HUGE irritants.My daughter can not kiss daddy after he’s shaved
-Heat also irritates her.
When an irritant is present I can quite litterally watch her skin react.
If your child is at all similar, please take the advice and help them. It’s made all the difference in the world.
Do not worry about diet. It does not effect the condition. Also, perfumes of any kind are a no-no. As mentioned, perfumes of any kind effect her immediately, be forwarned, parents. Breathable fabrics are also a must. Those lovely fluffy sleepers and blankets are nice to look at but the polyester is a huge irritant.
I have not noticed a reaction when she is emotional. She is a VERY relaxed child, though. So that could be why. Even at her worst, when she was scabbed all over her face and head, she was not overly bothered by it. We handled her scratching with mittens for a couple of months until she needed to start using her hands…. and yes, Sick Kids is absolutely amazing.
To be brutally honest, I brought this information because I tried all the “home remedies” I found on the internet and for severe eczema they do not work at all. This regime is for babies who who are covored in sores and are suffering. Sorbeline is a great treatment for mild cases. Honey I’m not too sure about. I just want parents out there looking for a solution, to see this testimony…. I’ve done the work for you, as has my daughter testing the home remidies and over-the-counter products. For SEVERE baby eczema, don’t even waste your time. Take this information to your GP if they have not found the solution and ask.
